Amazing Panko Parmesan Crusted Ranch Chicken

Who doesn’t love a yummy baked chicken recipe??? Welllll…. you are in for a treat! This chicken bake is sure to be a crowd pleaser, even the kiddos will love it! It’s also super easy to make.

Let’s get to it, then!

First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Now let’s gather all the ingredients. You can see them here in the pic below. Silly me left out the parmesan so don’t forget it because it is essential to this recipe! I usually get the parmesan in a bottle, it mixes better with the Panko crumbs. You will also need some kind of baking dish. I used a 9×13 inch casserole dish here. You can use a nonstick pan as well, whatever you got!

Now, let’s grease up that casserole dish! You can spray it with cooking spray of use butter. Set it aside. I usually go ahead and cut the excess pieces and tendons off the chicken at this time and set it close by to coat it when I’m ready with the other ingredients. I use chicken breast tenders, but you can about any boneless chicken- just cut into the size of tenders. In one bowl, combine your dry ingredients. This will be your panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and I usually add garlic and onion powder as well. Just do this taste, some people like less, some people like more. Mix those up really good until combined. Set aside. In a separate bowl, add your cup of ranch. This will be used to coat the chicken before putting it in the dry mixture.

Now, let’s coat that chicken! Trying to keep my cats out of the chicken was quite the task. Little rascals, they absolutely love chicken and they act like heathens trying to get some. I usually give them some of the trimmings- but they still hound me the entire time I’m making it. I’m surprised they didn’t make a cameo in these pics HAHAHA. Take one of the chicken tenders and dip it in the ranch and coat it well, then move it to the panko crumb mixture and coat on all sides. This will get kind of messy on the hands. I’m always a mess in the kitchen, so this is nothing new for me 🙂 Place the coated chicken in the greased dish and continue on until all the chicken is coated well and in the dish.

It should look like the picture above once you’re done coating. Before putting it in the oven, we need to coat the top of the chicken with something to crisp it up a little and not burn the crumbs so much. You can use the melted butter here and pour it over top of the chicken. You can also use cooking spray to spray on the top of it to coat it before placing in the oven. Place in the oven at 400 degrees for about 35-40 minutes. Remember, all ovens are different, and oven times may vary. At the end, I will usually turn my oven on broil to crisp the tops of the crumbs on the chicken and get a good crisp on them.

Pull out of the oven. It’s going to be bubbling really good, so let it rest for about 15-20 minutes to cool down. It should be golden brown on top like my picture above. And voila, it’s ready to serve! Spoon those tenders out with a spoon and get all that crispy goodness around the chicken. This is enough to feed my family of 4 and then have 1 leftover meal for the next day. Just depends on how hungry those little hippos are 🙂

This chicken has a TON of flavor. It is a favorite in my household. You can make about any sides you want to with it. We love mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. It’s pretty easy to double the recipe, as well… if you’re cooking for a larger crowd. I hope you all try it and enjoy it! Let me know down below!

That’s all for now! Do good, Bee well, Bee happy! Ciao, busy bees!
